🌅 Day 29 — When God’s Mercy Doesn’t Look Like Fairness

There are moments when God’s ways challenge our sense of justice.

We expect fairness.
Equal measure.
Clear reward and consequence.

But Scripture reminds us:

God is just — yet His mercy often confounds human understanding.

📖 Today’s Readings
🕊️ Psalm 17:6–12 — trusting God’s protection
👑 Matthew 20:1–19 — mercy beyond fairness
🌿 Job 11–14 — hope rising from suffering

In the parable of the workers, Jesus reveals that the Kingdom is not built on comparison — but on generosity. Grace is not earned by effort, and mercy is not diminished by being shared.

Job’s friends speak with certainty but without compassion.
Job, though wounded, refuses false guilt — yet still entrusts himself to God.

And in the midst of grief, Job speaks words filled with hope:

“You cover my iniquity.”

Faith does not always understand suffering —
But it trusts God’s mercy even when life feels unfair.

God does not forget your labor.
He refuses to limit mercy.

🙏 “Lord, help me trust You when Your mercy challenges my understanding.”
