OPERATION HARDLINE - Dads Army - ARMA Reforger

SITUATION

a. General

British Forces have begun ground operations as part of the Afghan Campaign, establishing presence and control across key valleys to disrupt insurgent activity.

Intelligence indicates that villages within the Tor Kelay Valley are opposed to the Al Jibal Forces and are willing to provide information regarding a nearby insurgent stronghold.

The stronghold is assessed to house a regional Al Jibal commander, whose capture is critical to understanding enemy command structure, movement patterns, and future intent.

Enemy forces are expected to be lightly equipped but determined. Improvised explosive devices and prepared fighting positions are likely.

MISSION

At 0600 HRS, British Forces will convoy into the Tor Kelay Valley, secure a cooperative village to gather intelligence, then advance to and neutralise an Al Jibal stronghold.

SAS will assist in the assault and capture High-Value Target (HVT) – Abdul Farid al-Haq, with capture prioritised for intelligence exploitation.

EXECUTION

Royal Marines/USMC

• Conduct mounted convoy movement into the Tor Kelay Valley
• Secure and control the village, establish cordons, and enable intelligence gathering
• Advance onto the identified stronghold and conduct deliberate clearance operations
• Maintain pressure on enemy positions and provide security for specialist elements

SAS

• Move on foot alongside the convoy in the hillside, maintaining discretion, overwatch, and flexibility
• Provide reconnaissance, flanking security, and assault support as required
• Lead the action to locate, isolate, and capture Abdul Farid al-Haq
• Secure and protect the HVT during extraction from the objective

EODS

• Support all phases of the operation
• Identify, defuse, or destroy explosive ordnance and IED threats
• Clear routes, compounds, and key structures to enable safe manoeuvre

CSU

• Provide ammunition resupply at section level
• Deliver medical support during all phases of the operation
• Support casualty stabilisation and sustainment of combat power
