"Navigating the Omniwar: Those Who Are Prepared Will Be Able to Sail Through It with Michael Yon"

Michael Yon is a man of many hats: a former Green Beret, an entrepreneur, a writer, a war correspondent, a photographer, an avid traveler, and an eternal student. These experiences allow him to assemble intelligence from a wide range of sources and perspectives.

In late November 2025, Yon and Catherine recorded a fascinating, high-information-density interview in which they discussed, among other things, weaponized migration and the taking over of trade routes by the Chinese. Their rich exchange resulted in a visit to the Netherlands by Yon and his wife, Masako Ganaha. During their stay, I conducted this follow-up interview to hear Yon’s take on the many aspects of Omniwar he and Ganaha observed while in my country.

The Netherlands is at the heart of many of Mr. Global’s projects. With the Rotterdam harbor as the end point of the Silk Road, it is a strategic target—and targeted it is. As in Germany, climate policies are taking down the energy infrastructure, leading to effective deindustrialization of what were once top-performing economies. In addition, so-called “rewilding” policies are leading to the destruction of fertile farmland and the introduction of wolves in densely populated areas, which is terrorizing cattle, farmers, and civilians. Meanwhile, the country is flooded by migrants with cultural backgrounds that are hostile to the Dutch culture.

Yon warns of the high likelihood that the combination of policies being implemented could lead to famine. However, he also reminds us that we all have ancestors who survived wars, famines, and other man-made or natural calamities. We don’t need to wait, like “sitting ducks,” for disaster to strike. For those who are willing to face reality as it is, resources are available to prepare and sail through the storms.
