The TikTok Disaster

TikTok has finally been sold over to a consortium of US investors, and within days, the platform has become worse than it ever was before, with increased censorship, data collection, and slanted moderation.

While the company officially blames a data center outage, the real story is a much deeper network of connections between TikTok, ICE, Palantir, and a perfect political atmosphere where people finally seem to care about data privacy violations to a proper degree.

It was claimed that the platform had to be seized form China for "national security"... and yet now, the new owners are just as predatory, (if not more so) compared to before. As always... I maintain a strong position that no one should be using TikTok.
