As forecasted, the Sun just blasted off a solar mega-flare consisting of a 8.1, 1.5, and 2.8 triple x-class solar flare sequence. A massive coronal mass ejection has launched out, a powerful radiation storm is about to begin, and a solar storm impact of some magnitude is likely.
