Continuing Effusive Eruption at Mayon Volcano

As per PHIVOLCS-DOST, Mayon Volcano’s effusive eruption continues for the 28th consecutive day, generating incandescent lava flows, pyroclastic density currents (PDCs) or “uson,” and frequent rockfall events. Lava flows have reached radial distances of approximately 3.7 km in the Basud gully (east), 1.6 km in the Bonga gully (southeast), and 1.3 km in the Mi-isi gullies, based on VMLH (Ligñon Hill) IP Camera observations as of 03 February 2026. Alert Level 3 remains in effect, and entry into the 6-km Permanent Danger Zone is strictly prohibited.
