Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert reviews "The Getaway" (In my opinion, an awesome action romantic remake of the 1972 film of the same name with Steve McQueen and Ali MaGraw about marriage thieves on the run! Directed By: Roger Donaldson); "Blank Check" (A Hilarious Home Alone Clone Kids Movie about a kid who receives a blank check from a crooked thief who crash his bike and now becomes a millionaire! Directed By: Rufus Wainwright. Starring: Brian Bonsall, Miguel Ferrer, Toni Loc, Michael Learner, James Rebhorn, Ric Ducommun and Karen Duffy.) and "My Girl 2" (A romantic family sequel to the rather sad original 1991 film with Anna Chumsky, Dan Aykroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis, Austin O'Brien and Christine Ebersole.)

Special Report on "Academy Award Surprises": Siskel & Ebert are delightful with Academy Voters choices of their own for the nominees of the 1994 Academy Awards.
Siskel's Choice: Best Actress and Supporting Actress for Emma Thompson in "The Remains of the Day" and "In the Name of the Father". Plus, Best Supporting Actor for Pete Postewaite in "In The Name of the Father". And Snubs for Best Director, Andrew Davis for "The Fugitive" But surprisingly, Best Director, Robert Altman for "Short Cuts" and Steven Spielberg for "Schindler's List" ("Jurassic Park" was snubbed as well but did receive Best Visual Effects).

Ebert Choice: Best Actor for Lawerence Fishburne in "What's Love Got to Do With It" and Best Actress for Holly Hunter for "The Piano" joining with a Supporting Actress for "The Firm". Snubs for Sy Chen, Harrison Ford and Robin Williams. And a recap of Today's program.

Recorded on KATU ABC 2 in Portland, Oregon with Commercials intact.
