Today Nakita is trying one of America’s most iconic comfort food party dips — Beer Cheese Dip — and making TWO versions from scratch for the very first time!

From game days and tailgates to casual get-togethers, beer cheese dip is a true US crowd favourite… but as Brits, we’d never seen cheese made like this before.

So the big question was — does beer actually make cheese taste better?

In this video, Nakita makes both a cold pub-style beer cheese spread AND a hot, gooey fondue-style beer cheese dip to compare flavours, textures, and overall comfort food factor.

Served up with crusty bread, crackers, and celery — this turned into a full taste test to see which version comes out on top!

🧀 What Is Beer Cheese Dip?

Beer cheese dip is a regional American classic believed to have originated in Kentucky in the 1930s–40s, combining sharp cheddar, beer, and seasonings into a creamy, flavour-packed dip or spread.

It’s commonly served with:

• Pretzels
• Crackers
• Bread rolls
• Vegetable sticks

…and is a staple at Super Bowl parties, tailgates, and bar menus across the US.
