The Verdict
(1946) is a film noir mystery drama that follows a disgraced Scotland Yard superintendent who tries to outwit his arrogant replacement by solving a "locked-room" murder mystery he orchestrated himself. It was the final film pairing for its stars, Sydney Greenstreet and Peter Lorre, and the feature directorial debut of Don Siegel.
