Hey everyone — it’s Leaflit! In today’s video I’m reacting to a controversial social media post by VTuber Kaiyo that has been circulating online, and to the reactions it sparked on Twitter and Reddit. In that post, Kaiyo essentially said he’s tired of religious VTubers and suggested they “need to die.” On top of that, he claimed Christians are “homophobic” and say hateful things toward trans people — a stereotype that doesn’t reflect reality, but rather a misrepresentation used to smear people he disagrees with.

Kaiyo (whose real social presence is under the handle ohaiyokaiyo) is an independent VTuber known for gaming and streaming content on platforms like Twitch and YouTube, but this kind of post crosses a line into dangerous and divisive rhetoric rather than productive discussion.

In this video I break down:
1. Why calling for any group to “need to die” is utterly unacceptable. Even if someone has strong disagreements, wishing death on people — especially over their faith — is harmful and irresponsible.
2. Why mislabeling Christians as inherently “homophobic” or hateful toward trans people is inaccurate and unfair. Generalizations like that only inflame division instead of fostering respectful debate about differing views.
3. How individuals with a platform — VTubers included — should be careful with their words, because they influence others in the community. VTubing is a creative space, but that doesn’t grant anyone a free pass to spread hostility or make extreme claims about real-world groups.

If you think reasonable disagreements shouldn’t be turned into threats or exaggerations, hit Like, Subscribe, and ring so you don’t miss more reactions and commentary! Then tell me in the comments: Should creators be more responsible with how they talk about people with different beliefs?
