Exploring Jaén Spain: Spectacular View from Palacio de Villardompardo

Join me as we take a walk around and look out at the spectacular view from on the top of Palacio de Villardompardo overlooking Jaén, Andalusia (Andalucia), Spain.

Built in the sixteenth century by Fernando Torres y Portugal, the first Count of Villardompardo and Viceroy of Peru. It is a must-see when visiting Jaén, as it houses the historic Baños Arabes (Arab Baths) in it's basement. Built in 1002 AD, the baths were constructed over the remains of a Roman villa or bathhouse with a portico. The baths were probably renovated in the 12th century due to the presence of Almohad decorations, some of which are still preserved. Jaén is a regional city in southern Spain, best known for it's olive industry. This walk took place on a beautiful sunny afternoon in 2025.
