In 1921 he became a licensed Architect in California and became the first Black member of the American Institution of Architects in 1923. On November 26th, 1962, he invented the components of the "first useful helicopter" and patented the Lockheed Model 186 (XH-51) 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
