Snow piled higher than I ever stood,
Night drifts gentle as the mountain should.

Layered glass and powder, slipping through time.
Full moon shining down a brilliant blue,
The whole world frozen clean and clear of view.

Tracks weave patterns on the long incline,
The empty lift chairs creak above the tree-line.
Distant calls hanging in the evening’s cold,
Day fading to a gold horizon’s fold.
