Meanwhile his little girl’s on a feeding tube, family’s picking up the pieces of their shattered lives, and the Crown’s over here like, “Poor fella just needs a hug and a shorter sentence.”

Canada where attempted filicide gets you less time than tax evasion and a sympathy card from the parole board.
