Discord now says all its users are teens unless you prove otherwise! Framed as "teen safety," this is more about protecting their company from regulators than protecting kids at all.

To get full access, Discord will require facial scans, government IDs, and third-party vendors handling sensitive identity data—just after a major breach exposed 70,000 Discord user IDs!

Identity theft isn't like a stolen password—you can't just reset your government identity. It's the most devastating cyberattack possible!

And it's another example of why slippery slope is NOT a fallacy: identity verification keeps expanding from anti-money laundering rules to adult sites... and now social media.
