RESTORATIVE HUMILITY

Proverbs 3:34 New King James Version
34 Surely He scorns the scornful,
But gives grace to the humble.

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA MY GOOD FRIENDS!!!
I find this passage out of Genesis 33 rather revealing, because it shows the further damage that toxic, dysfunctional family dynamics can have on people, but also on how when people within that are willing to humble themselves before the Lord to seek solutions to it, that God gives those solutions in ways that can blow one's mind. Nothing can compare to the situation here between Jacob and Esau, in which Jacob cheated his twin brother out of his birthright, and the blessing, because he and his mom were trying to do God's job for Him. We've seen how that works don't we? I think that's why I find this passage so interesting, as well as relatable, because I've seen in my own family the day that toxic, dysfunctional family dynamics can cause.

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that God showed me not just from this morning scripture, but also from what I have read about the importance of humility, especially when you want to restore relationships the right way, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I really pray that you listen to what I have to say. So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with these questions from this morning's devotional and I pray that these questions challenge your heart.

What relationships in your life might need restoration?

How can you start the process?

I don't know what's going on within your family dynamic, but I want you to know that God can heal. I pray that if you have been through the poison of a toxic family member, whether it's a parent, sibling, or spouse, that you know you're not in alone, that God stands beside you, and will vindicate you. But I also want you to know how important it is to forgive, and that forgiveness doesn't have to involve letting that person back into your life. My prayer for you especially is that you learn what it really means to forgive, to break free of the chains of grudges, resentment, bitterness, and hate, and learn to forgive without having your pain minimized. forgive you. If you're like Jacob and you've deceived, tricked, connived, and done things to where your family hates you, know that God doesn't hate you, and that if you repent, you can be restored. Even if your family wants nothing to do with you, know that if you know Christ is savior, you've repented of whatever it is you did, God can and will restore you. Who knows. You may have your Jacob and Esau moment.
