This is what your heart needs! He was told he'll never be able to walk but look at him now! When you have a “normal” kid, who gets good grades, you are cheerful.But it is probably a “normal” kind of joy, because, of course, it is part of growing up. But when you have a kid with some limitations, with small success and each learning, you vibrate and pulsate as if you had won a trophy.
Matthew is a 16-year-old, gorgeous boy who has been struggling with cerebral palsy since he was born. His parents have been trying alternative approaches to his nature of illness alongside medical treatments but He was told he will never be able to walk but look at him now! 1 month into training alongside his older brother, walking a full 40 yards without any support! He is now able to do many things that we were told he would not when he was initially diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
A kid being born early can involve in the child developing cerebral palsy. Many people do not know how to approach children with disabilities or how to act around them. Awareness needs to be raised that children with disabilities are just like everyone else! They have feelings and they have likes and dislikes. They want what every kid wants, and they suffer greatly when they are rejected or mocked. Some most common questions and there answers related to Cerebral Palsy.
Will my child learn how to walk? The answer to this question varies with every case. But in common, a kid with mild cp can learn to walk independently and a child with moderate cp may need external aid. The child with severe cp, however, is generally wheelchair bound. Will my child learn how to talk?
The answer to this also questions depends on the case, while some kids may not face any struggling, while others may be slow to catch. Speech-Therapist can assist with learning to speak and other types of communication.
Can my child be independent?
Counseling and encouragement can make it achievable for a kid to be independent despite the condition. A kid with a mild case of cp can attain independence a lot more simply than a kid with a severe cp. Parents play the most important role here.
Will my child have a normal life expectancy? Yes, most of the kids with cerebral palsy lead a regular healthy life. However, kids with severe cp with brain damage are identified with conditions like epilepsy and run a risk of reduced life expectancy.
