'Captain Marvel' is Marvel studio’s first female-led superhero movie.
The film is set in the 1990's and stars Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson.
The movie is poised to set box office records for March.
Critics have been mixed on the movie. It holds an 81% fresh score in Rotten Tomatoes.
Rick Marshall of Digital Trends gave the film positive reviews.
Marshall said 'Captain Marvel' is "a truly memorable big-screen adventure."
