Bill Cosby Settles Defamation Suit

Reuters reports Bill Cosby on Friday settled a federal defamation lawsuit in which seven women said the comedian sexually assaulted them and wrongly called them liars for going public with their allegations. Cosby is currently serving a 3- to 10-year sentence for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004, of which he was convicted a year ago. The settlement covers seven of approximately 50 women who in the past decade have accused Cosby of sex abuse.
