Monkey gatecrashes family funeral and puts his arm round grieving relative

This is the hilarious moment grieving relatives at a funeral were 'consoled' by a MONKEY that gatecrashed - and even put his arm round mourners.

The animals can be seen spotting a crying woman sat near the front of the gathering, and quickly prowling toward her to put its arm on her shoulder.

The unexpected guest then comfortingly places both hands on the woman's head, before letting them rest on her shoulder consolingly as she leans forward to hug the monkey.

The monkey showed up at the funeral of Devendrappa Kammar, of Nargund, southern India, who was 80 years old when she died on April 15.
