Close Encounters of the Bird Kind

Info from Licensor: "This encounter happened on our Grand Rapids Michigan Rapid Wheelmen bike club's Saturday morning 'Dawn Patrol' 50-mile bike ride. This was on a rural road in Barry County in Southwest Michigan. As we approached this large bird that we believe was a hawk, it took off from the ditch and flew alongside us briefly, then buzzed the head of one of our riders. Then the bird left droppings, some of which soiled the riders jacket, before flying away."
