both the male and the female were trimmed the wings ... many "animal lovers" who are sometimes upset about people who "annoy" the swans, should rather get excited about it! Personally, I have no sympathy for such an intervention in the nature of the swans, which is just to fly. It was sad to see how the birds initially made hopeless flight attempts to escape the winter.
