Rogers New Unlimited Phone Data Plan

Rogers announced today that it would be introducing a new, unlimited wireless data plan for $75 a month for 10GB of high-speed data for every line. After 10GB it drops to 256 kbs. They have provided an option for a “Speed Pass” which is $15 for 3GB. They are the first and only national carrier to introduce unlimited wireless plans in Canada but Bell and Telus have a limited promotion with a similar offer. Canada has notoriously expensive cell phone plans. Canadians spend, on average, 25% more on cellphone plans than our American counterparts.That difference gets even bigger when Canadians buy plans with more wireless data. On average Canadians pay $68 for 8gb plan. There are positives and negatives to Rogers plan but at least we can say bye to $50 overcharge fees.
