Making all the right moves with Tai Chi at AFC716 in Hamburg
It looks like a slow motion dance but according to Daniel Cimino and Kate Molik who teach Tai Chi at AFC716 in Hamburg, it has many benefits. Daniel says"it's a great low impact exercise designed to be great on the ankles and the joints and back." Their students vary in ages but they have worked with people as young as eleven. Kate points out that most of the participants are retired and adds "the benefits are astronomical whether you come for stress relief or balance or all of it." Kevin Jurkiewicz suffered a stroke five years ago and says that joining this class has helped him get back his muscle tone and balance and says "my speech has also greatly improved." AFC716 is at: 350 Union St, Hamburg, NY 14075 phone: 716-261-4969. They offer a number of classes throughout the week and you can get more informationat their website
