Las Torpederas Beach in Valparaiso, Chile

During the 1930s, Las Torpederas beach was the fashionable promenade for porteños and tourists. It is the most popular beach in Valparaíso. It receives its name from the torpedo boats that stayed there in 1887, of which two used to be anchored in the bay of Valparaíso in active service until 1895.
