Families of VA Beach Tragedy Invited To Launch Lanterns First At Festival

Thousands gathered on August 3rd to light lanterns and release them into the water at Mount Trashmore. Among the attendees were several family members from the shooting in Virginia Beach who were invited to launch their lanterns first as a moment of silence was observed. Here are snippets of the event which simply could not capture how beautiful the sight was to see messages of hope, peace, love, and remembrance gently float across the calm water each with one flickering candle.
The background music on this video was the first verse of a song I wrote for my own sister who passed away in January. Enjoy!
