Squirrels wreck graveyard by munching flowers

Mourners have called for a cull of squirrels which are ruining a graveyard by munching floral tributes and digging into burial plots.

Relatives have captured video evidence of the "greedy" menaces ripping up flowers and burying their nuts around the headstones.

Visitors have reported seeing up to 30 squirrels at a time at Hook Road Cemetery in Goole, East Yorks., and even being followed and surrounded by them.

But the local council has stopped short of a cull and instead erected signs asking people to refrain from feeding them animals.
