R. Kelly Denied Release From Prison During Coronavirus Pandemic

R. Kelly was once again denied being released from prison for the second time. The rapper is at Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center, waiting for his trial on his alleged sex crimes. According to Newser, the coronavirus has quickly spread through the prison and R.Kelly is trying to escape getting infected. A U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly said Kelly hasn’t proven he’s more vulnerable than other inmates. Donnelly said the defendant poses a risk “to obstruct justice or intimidate prospective witnesses.”
