Don't be a branch,,,, man.

The branch found in John 15:2 are those people who have to go through the great tribulation. God requires faith plus works (fruit) to remain in the True Vine.

Yet today, in the dispensation of Grace, we who are saved by grace, are baptized into the one body, the body of Christ, a new creation.. when you believe Christ Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again according to scripture.
