John Thomas Coyle tells his unique story of becoming one of the first U.S. Navy Seabees as part of Construction Battalion Detachment #1056. His journey began at bootcamp in Great Lakes, Michigan, followed by training at Port Hueneme, and finally deploying to Guadalcanal to unload and load supply ships in the the final days of World War II.
