Christian Poems | The Abiding Place | How To Find Rest in God
This poem is a reminder to abide in God's rest when we feel stuck and unable to change the circumstances around us.

This was a great encouragement to me when I wrote it in June 2019 at a time when I was very restricted with chronic illness and frustrated at the lack of progress. May it bless you.

Not by might, nor by power,
by His Spirit every hour.
My only duty for today,
to fear the Lord, trust and obey.
A branch abiding in the vine,
being filled up with new wine.
A God who's working while I wait,
He's never early, never late.
The Shepherd leads with rod and staff,
he guides His previous child's path.
