Joseph Wood unsolved disappearance

Joseph Wood jr, was a 34-year-old, an African American New Press editor, a New York publisher and former editor of The Village Voice. He had flown to Seattle on July 7th, 1999, to attend the Unity '99, a national conference for minority journalists. On July 8th, 1999, Joseph drove alone to Mount Rainier National Park, which is located 60 miles southeast of Seattle. He went to take a hiking trip and do some bird watching while on the mountain.
