Originally this song was about getting the crowd to loosin' up! You know. Folks that stand way in the back instead of close to the stage. real stiff and folded arms and stuff. But what's more important to 20 lb SLEDGE is folks warming up to the Lord. Folks are guarded against the Lord and have their weapons drawn on Him to keep from believing. "They gotta keep it hard!" This song invited folks to drop their guard against the Lord for He is not the enemy. instead turn our guns against the demons that lie to us.
