Fairly Judging
What was Jesus speaking of when he says not to judge not. Jesus is not saying all judgement is off the table. We can evaluate wrong actions and behaviors that are clearly sin, but we cannot really know the person’s motives or assume they are a certain way when we barely know them. We should give people grace and the benefit of a doubt. We have people judging entire groups of people based on the actions of only a handful. For example not all police are out to harm people or abuse their power. Not all homeless people are homeless because they are on drugs. We have so many examples- but case by case we should evaluate people and not just assume. Whether the person is black, white, rich, poor, male, female- we ought to be fair and not automatically assume the worst about anyone
