【47】新型コロナは、本当に無症状者から感染するのか - 大橋眞

新型コロナ感染症は、無症状者から感染するという話で、非常事態宣言解除後も、健常者でマスクや3密を避ける生活を強いられています。この無症状者からの感染は、どのような仕組みで説明できるのでしょうか。この点に関して説明する専門家をマスコミで見かけることはありません。風邪・インフルなどの気道感染症における症状の発現とウイルス増殖、および飛沫などによるウイルス伝播の仕組みを、抗体産生の経時経過などを気道上皮細胞への感染をモデルに考察しました。これをもとにして、症状のない人から感染することが説明できるのかについて、考えてみました。
　その結果、症状のない人が他の人に感染させるという仕組みを説明することは困難であり、仮に飛沫の中にウイルスがいるとしても、インフルで症状がある人に比べて桁違いにウイルス量は少ないはずであり、増殖のない形で粘膜上皮に付着した何かのウイルスをPCRで検出している可能性が高いと考えられました。
