Supernatural Vs Natural, Miraculous vs Practical

God does not often have to do something miraculous- he sometimes uses very practical means and methods to help us deal with problems we have. God has power to do anything no doubt (See Jeremiah 32:27) but sometimes God provides ordinary means to deal with problems we face. We cannot demand God to do anything miraculous even though we know He has total power to.

For example God can miraculously step in to punish someone who wrongs us but often allows that person’s own choices to come back to them (See Galatians 6:7)

Sin has built in consequences and often God does not have to directly punish us when we do wrong but we “reap what we sow”

Sometimes we may have some health issue for example that we can take very common sense approach to to fix. For example losing weight and being healthier. We could pray, Lord cause me to lose all this weight I have gained and get healthy again/ God likely wont cause the weight to just miraculously fall off but what if instead he increased one’s self control to be more careful how much they ate and provided strength and more self discipline to excercise more? That’s very simple and practical.

We should not limit what we think God is able to do, but at the same time we should look for practical and common sense things we can do to improve a given situation.
