Hope For Those Stuck In A Bad Babylon Situation

Positive Message For A Troubled Nation

If you asked people from both sides pf political opinion whether they thought our nation had problems- I bet that’s one thing both sides would agree on. Yet in order to address national problems- it is best when we all as individuals first address our own sins and choose to repent. The people in the passage today found themselves in Babylon among ungodly people- but God encouraged them to pray for the nation they found themselves in and repent of their own sins that helped create their problems.

Babylon was undoubtably a wicked place but we see some godly people were able to be a light to these people in darkness- look no further then Daniel and his three godly friends, Shadrack, Meshak and Abendigo.

There are times we find ourselves in jobs we do not like, some are in a hard marriage they don’t like. Others feel distressed about the times we live in and worry about our nation and where it is headed, but hope, hope, believer! Perhaps God planted you where you are to be the greatest light you can be for his name. Ultimately our true hope lies in the hope of eternal life. Our ultimate mission is to win as many to the Kingdom as possible.

We could look at our country and world in a negative way- or we could see it as a ripe harvest field of opportunities to shine our light of hope and peace! What an opportunity.

Whether your in a place you like or not, if you have Christ you can and should make a positive Christian difference in a world that so desperatelu needs his hope, truth and light.
