The Box was a Canadian band based in Montreal, Quebec, It was one of those bands which didn't get the recognition or commercial success its talents deserved.

The Pleasure And The Pain was the band's fourth album, released in 1990 on the Alert Music label, catalogue number Z2 81014. Although it is not well known, it is IMHO one of the best Canadian albums of the period.
