How to Not Have Unexpected Flood Inside Your House

Can your Disconnector Gully grate be removed? Make sure it can. Because if there is a sewage blockage like in this video, you don't want the unexpected flood inside your house.

There was a #sewage #blockage down the street, and it #flooded someone's front yard. It's terrible, but it could've been worse. Thankfully the #DisconnectorGully (DG) grate could be removed, or else, instead of flooding their front yard, it would have been flooding inside their house.

This is why it's important to make sure that your DG grate can be removed (0:23). So if this ever happens, worse comes to worse, the water comes out to your front yard, not inside your house.
