Marion Fire & Rescue - Fuel Spill Response 3/23/2020
Marion Volunteer Fire & Rescue responded to a Fuel Spill at the CEFCO in Marion at approximately 9:30am on Monday 3/23/2020.
A fueling customer neglected to stay with his pump and up to 15 gallons was spilled across the fuel Island and was threatening to enter a storm drain.
Marion Fire provided safety standby and personnel from Marion Fire and LEMA used absorbent to clean up the spill.
The responsible party left the scene before responding units arrived.
No one was injured. No fire resulted from the spill. The area was cleaned up. And no pollutants were allowed to enter the storm drain.
Fuel Spill response is one of the many emergency services provided by the Volunteers of Marion Fire & Rescue.
