Exercise Technique #6 Sandbag: Kneeling Press on Airex Pad
5 years ago
89
The benefits of a sandbag are numerous, one of the major functional applications of a sandbag is its ability to not be a stable, or fixed object. With weight shifting in the bag neural corrections must be made continually to perform almost any movement. Kneeling takes the leverage away, by eliminating the legs for leverage, the Airex pad adds even more instability, as well as a tremendous firing of the posterior chain, most notably the hamstrings, glutes, and erector spinae.
