1-24-2021 Acts 17 vv 16-21

verbal bashing and attacking with words is nothing new - the Epicureans and Stoics ridiculed Apostle Paul in Athens when he was sharing the Gospel and laying out the reality of Jesus - but those philosophers were so bent on pain and pleasure and attaining a mental state of happiness absent from anxiety and pain, or preferred not to have any emotion and only logic... the reality of this was directly opposed to the pain of sinners needing to be saved and that they could achieve it from within... "follow your heart" "or let your mind be so strict that no one or no thing can move one from it's stony stance"... all jut itching their ears to avoid the real truth - they philosophized their way into false knowledge and vain babbling... Paul offered them the truth of the true LOGOS!!
