Istanbul student protest descends into clashes

The appointment of a new rector at Istanbul’s Boğaziçi University by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan prompted a massive protest that resulted into multiple arrests. The rally was called as a long-held tradition for the university academics to elect their own rector was broken for the first time.
