Call 2: Your message as a candidate

This is Zoom call 2 from our Fight Back series of training citizens to become effective candidates.

This call goes to what you need to know as far as an effective campaign message.

Our guest on the call is Wendy Wakeman: (bio) Wendy Darwin Wakeman is a communications and political strategist with over twenty-five years of experience. In 2020, Wakeman managed the successful GOP nomination of Kevin O’Connor for U.S. Senate, a political neophyte who was outspent 6-1. Previous to that, Wakeman was brought in to manage the Massachusetts GOP through a leadership transition. In 1994, she managed Peter Torkildsen's successful Congressional race in a deeply Democratic district. Wakeman has also won political office in her own right, having served as a selectman in her home town of North Andover, Massachusetts. Wakeman’s client list includes candidates, issue advocacy organizations, and the Massachusetts State Republican Party.
