Britain is a land of dragons, at least in symbolic and mythological terms. But could there be something real behind these legends? The tale of the so-called Lambton Worm, a large, aquatic dragon-like creature, as well as the Loch Ness Monster, raises the interesting possibility of a cryptozoological past.
