Part Two is a HIV Prevention Message from the Abbey of the Black Swan. The role of Stigma & Discrimination in the spread of HIV Infections is well known. The Evidence for this is in the fact that in Australia, National & State HIV Strategies ALL mandate eliminating Stigma & Discrimination to prevent HIV transmission.
In the Western Australian context Four State based & One National Organisation from the LGB, HIV & Trans Communities are raising the alarm that no meaningful activities are being done to remove Stigma & Discrimination to prevent HIV infections and are calling for A New HIV Deal for WA that includes an Action Plan to ensure that taxpayer funded agencies are in compliance with their duty of care to implement ALL the aims and objectives of the HIV Strategies.
