Who told you the Government is your Daddy?

The current winter weather has certainly hurt a lot of folks who weren't prepared for it. On the other hand who told you it was the governments' responsibility to take care of you? Why weren't those folks more prepared?

The changing of our cultural mindset from rugged individuals to debt slaves that want external solutions is at the root of this. Politics isn't so much downstream from Culture as it has more to do with social engineering technocrats convincing you that you cannot maintain that they know best. Do you really think someone living halfway around the world cares about your needs as they are famous, connected, protected, and wealthy?
