Hollow Knight is a 2D Metroidvania developed by independent studio Team Cherry. Although it is a Metroidvania on the surface, the game also takes inspiration from fellow indie game Shovel Knight, and also from the notorious Dark Souls series. The game is also available on Playstation 4, XBox One, and Nintendo Switch.
