Did Darth Vader Hold the Door Shut in Rogue One to Keep the Rebels from Escaping

Some have been saying that Darth Vader held the door to the rebel ship closed in the ending scene of Rogue One so that he could keep them from escaping. This is inaccurate for several reasons.
