Woke Politics – Renaming cities while the country crumbles

So, last week the Eastern Cape Minister of Sports, Arts & Culture renamed the city of Port Elizabeth – originally named after its founder’s wife, Elizabeth Frances née Markham. This isn’t the biggest of deals, or at least it wouldn’t be if our country could afford to pour money into sentiment.
But we really can’t.
